  • Andrew Ervin’s stories have appeared in Fiction International, Prague Literary Review, Oxford Magazine, the anthology Chicago Noir, and elsewhere. He’s an MFA student in fiction at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
  • Alan Gilbert is the author of Another Future: Poetry and Art in a Postmodern Twilight. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
  • Nick Hornby lives in North London. His new novel for young adults, Slam, will be published in October, 2007.
  • Brendan Hughes is an MFA student in nonfiction at Columbia University. He is currently researching an account of the largest art heist in American history.
  • Mark Kamine has written for the New York Times Book Review and the Times Literary Supplement. He works on movies and recently line produced Interview, directed by Steve Buscemi. He lives in New Jersey, exit 151.
  • Thomas Lennon has starred in Reno 911!, Viva Variety, and The State, among other TV shows and films. He also works as a screenwriter.
  • Colin Meloy plays guitar and sings in the Decemberists. He lives in Portland, Oregon.

  • Nick Poppy is a writer and filmmaker living in Brooklyn.
  • Tamler Sommers is a professor of philosophy at the University of Minnesota, Morris. He has written for the Believer, the Times Literary Supplement, and several scholarly journals. He is currently writing a book on honor cultures, moral responsibility, and the emotions.
  • Eric Spitznagel writes for magazines like Playboy, Esquire, Maxim, Blender, and this one. He is the author of six books, his most recent being Fast Forward: Confessions of a Porn Screenwriter (Manic D Press, 2006).
  • R. Emmet Sweeney writes for IFC News and helps to maintain the film blog Termite Art (termiteart.blogspot.com).
  • Gustavo Turner’s first book, The Play Is Lost, is forthcoming from the Penguin Press.
  • Amanda Eyre Ward is the author, most recently, of the novel Forgive Me. She lives in Austin, Texas, with her family.
