THE BELIEVER

FROM “HIDE AND SEEK”

THREE NEW POEMS

by Dan Chiasson

Hide and Seek

ergo he played his role and hid.

The seeker, embarrassed by his role,
thinking it beneath his dignity,
developed instead a personality disorder.
